3K enjoyed celebrating wellbeing day. We expressed ourselves by wearing our own clothes and took part in various activities linked to the 5 ways of wellbeing.

3W had a great day on Friday taking part in activities covering the 5 ways to well-being. We continued our music lessons, had a drawing challenge, exercised and learned some mindful breathing. Along with paired and group challenges and litter picking to improve our environment.

Today year 3 enjoyed a live lesson with @LyftaEd as part of Well-being week. The theme was Know yourself - Grow yourself. We discussed the need to understand ourselves to be prepared to manage our emotions through both ups and downs.

In Science 3W came up with a hypothesis. All food high in fat is always high in salt too. They explored food packaging and recorded their results. After comparing the findings across the class, it was found to be false and was disproved! Great work 3W 👍👏👍👏

In Science, we have been building on our knowledge of nutrition. We have been comparing salt in different foods, plotting our findings on bar graphs and discussing our results.

In Music, we have been learning new notes and a new song, on ocarinas. We have enjoyed learning ‘Ode to Joy’. 🎶🎵

In science we have been investigating food labels. We ordered foods by the different amounts of nutrients they contained.

We used our Oracy skills today to develop our knowledge about Boudicca and the Romans in Britain. @voice21oracy

We were using our maths skills this week to answer problem solving and reasoning questions. 👍➕➖➗🟰👍

Year 3 are enjoying their new book Stuart Little. Today we looked at the punctuation needed for conversations between characters.

3W were very excited today, to start learning the Ocarina in our music lessons. We learned to play a range of notes and put them together to play Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. A fantastic start 🌟🌟
