I've never been to a hairdresser, I've broken five bones in my life, four of which were while dancing and in a other life, found a Red-winged Blackbird

Just finished 3 weeks in Costa Rica, no chasing anything specific, no guided tours just pick a place and go birding; 300 species and my favourite was finding wintering North American bits 😀

Heading off for my third season in the far Penguin infested deep south; November is always exciting for me, swapping between sets of wonderful things 😀

Heading home after six weeks at @LongPointBirdOb lots of cool birds passed through my grubby mits (catching 19 Northern Flickers at once in large mesh hawk nets is not to be recommended though...)

Seems to be some debate here about this wader I found yesterday at Long Point, Ontario; I'm in the Western Sand camp, anyone else got any offerings?

Nice raptor push when the fog cleared late morning; an hour's watch saw 207 Sharp-shins, a Coopers, 5 Northern Harriers, 4 Ospreys, 3 Bald Eagles, a Merlin, a Kestrel and a Nighthawk go over. Slow in the nets but its all quality! @LongPointBirdOb
