I think this seems eerie because people are used to a frantic Vince McMahon changing things on the fly. They aren’t used to a professional temperament.

Whether or not this is punk being genuine with his apology tour the result is the same. He’s making amends and ending his career the way he wants to
@WrestlingNewsCo
I couldn’t agree more. He is invisible when he needs to be, the storylines are never about him and he’s a model of how a GM role should be presented.
Why is WWE making Cody some kind of religious figure? We had dozens of people come out Sunday night to kiss his feet and hold him up. Then last night we have to suffer through a tributary video while we watch our new champion cry… again. This mass psychosis needs to end.

Big difference is when you voluntarily go into this line of work that ACTIVELY encourages crowd reaction you can’t simultaneously be annoyed when the fans react. It may not be the desired reaction, but are you not paid to elicit one?
@wrestlelamia
That’s not because punk is a bigger star than rock. It’s because punks been gone for 10 years and most didn’t ever expect him back, whereas Rock stops by every couple years.
