Results had been poor recently granted, however the decision came out of the blue, no meetings or revised targets. We were working towards a mid table target, one we were 6 points from with 17 games left. LR are a top club, really wish them all the best.

Today we’ve parted company with manager Warren Jones after a committee meeting last night. On behalf of everyone at the club I’d like to thank warren and his staff for all there hard work over 2 years. An announcement on the next manager will be made this week.

After what has been a tough week and an emotional rollercoaster we needed that. The players were outstanding to a man. Liam and Connor were brilliant offering me all the right advice and Jordan treated the lads superbly on his 1st day with us. Were off and running!

Had to resign today from my position at Atherton LR. The things i have seen today and in the previous weeks has made it impossible to prepare a team. The results have been poor but thats half the story. Playing in semi pro football and ran like the dog and duck.

That’s full time and it was a second half largely dominated by FC possession and chances following the first goal, with a heartbreaking end as the second went completely against the run of play, but goals are what counts and FC couldn’t find the back of the net today.

Rushed home from work, chucked some food down, got ready for training, wrote a session plan quickly and felt rushed and under prepared. Had one of the beat training sessions in a long time. The players made it, so good, the commitment levels and standards are sky high. Loved it!
