As we say farewell to WRC2024 and thanks to our colleagues in ANSD and on Terceira Island, the Azores, we now look forward to WRC2025 to be hosted by Croatia. See what you can expect when you visit WRC2025 in Karlovac, Croatia, 9th and 14th September 2025.

International Rescue and Medical teams head to the Azores to join the WRO's 23rd World Rescue Challenge. The four day Challenge will take place on Triceca Island between the 5th to the 9th November. Look out for more details of the event and who will be there.

The WRO announces the appointment of 3 Dep Extrication Leads, Carlos Amaro, Julius Fleischman & Paul Hamer All bring considerable knowledge & experience to the WRO. They will continue the development of Standards, Assessing, and other key areas. Welcome to you all.

The WRO is pleased to announce that Carlos Eguiluz (Iggy), has been appointed to the role of Extrication Lead for the WRO. 'I will do my best not just to uphold the standard set by the WRO & continue to improve our Organisation in any way possible' Congratulations Iggy.

WRO sends international team of Assessors and Peer Trainers to deliver Team and Assessor training to colleagues in the UAE and to support the second Dubai Rescue Challenge, which takes place next week.

Remembering all Road Traffic Victims #WDoR2023

The WRO would like to announce that Ian Marritt has been elected as the new Director of Education and Development. Ian will be bringing considerable skills to the role in terms of his knowledge of the challenge and education and development of firefighters and rescue workers.
