Millions of women do carry their own luggage, women put in the entire physical labour in agricultural fields, carry tons of weight in brick kilns, construction sites and also do cooking and care giving while husbands play cards. Not even 10% men in India do any household chores.

It seems reasonable. If absolutely no sexual comments or gestures were made merely an abusive word cannot outrage women's modesty. "Women's modesty" itself is a gender stereotype. It assumes women are too weak and sensetive and can't even handle a quarrel.

A woman can be upfront about her demands and if the man has a problem he won't marry her. Nobody is forcing it. That's the difference. Traditionally women are forcefully married off and entire burden of household work falls on them without them having any say in the matter.
A financially independent woman doesn't mean that she can put the entire burden of finances on the man as and when she pleases. She can't force a man to earn if she thinks she can't be forced to do so. Sadly for those who make demands like this call demand by others "Oppression"
