This is PERFECT for our bet on the over. We’ve seen 4 anthems in the last 12 years use an instrument. The run times for those were 121, 142, 136, and 156 seconds. That means the over has hit in 4/4 games with an instrument. Alica Keys was the last one to use a piano for the anthem, and that lasted 2 minutes and 36 seconds. The Raptors will be without Jakob Poeltl, and after trading Kelly Olynyk away, the Raptors center rotation will be dwindled to Mogbo and Orlando Robinson. Mogbo got the start last game against OKC and finished with 13 PA in 28 minutes. This season, with Poeltl gone and 18+ minutes, he is 5/5 on this line, averaging 13 PA. This includes two games against the Thunder. In these last 2 games, he has taken 8 FGA in both, one game off the bench. With 7+ FGA, he is 8/10 on this line. He is also -190 for 2+ assists. In the last 2 games, he’s had 2 and 3 assists on 3 and 4 potentials. Along with that, his 3PT upside has been encouraging with 2+ 3 PM in back-to-back games. Mogbo has started 7 games this season, 6 with 20+ minutes. The one game with <20 minutes was against the Rockets where Olynyk played 24 mins off the bench. No backup other than Robinson today, so I’m not worried about Mogbo’s minutes being stolen. In games, he’s started with 20+ minutes; he is 4/6 on this line, averaging 10.2 PA. The Rockets are 9.5-point favorites, which is honestly helpful. Against OKC’s last game, he played 9 4Q minutes and got 5 PA in that quarter alone. He’s a rookie, so if it becomes a blowout, they’ll want him to play.
