A friend really wanted to play around with some of their OCs for an AU, so I went ahead and designed a tyranid Ryla.
This does NOT mean I have any interest in getting into Warhamster. I want that to be very clear.
A few years ago, I was in a D&D mood, and opted to design a few OCs based on the classical giants - primarily so I could do belly fetish art of them.
We have Hillary(Hill), Celeste(Cloud), Janna(Ogress), and Milly(Frost).
Meteora(Storm), Grelka(Troll), Grelka(post-redesign after I used her in a one-shot), Astoria(Hill, after I decided I wanted a more villainous hill giantess to play with).
I like the idea that Ryla really wants to be able to fly, but struggles to actually create a shape that can get off the ground for more than a few seconds. By the time she figures it out, she'll have made some... concessions.

The actual changes wound up being really subtle, because I don't actually know how far people like to take these. But I had fun with it!

's Gira, and my last attempt at the "redesign this OC" challenge. I think this is a fairly good metric for what can be expected for the rest of the submissions... maybe. I mean, this is one character, and y'all sent me, like, thirty.
Though she can eventually heal from most wounds, Ryla actually still has a nasty scar from when she was first turned - one that goes all the way through her torso.
I make no promises to how quickly I will be or whether I will be able to do everyone. But this seems really fun and I wanna give it a try.

I nurse an insecurity that Ryla's not a "real" monster, because her default appearance is human-passing. But I think that perspective is very limiting and disingenuous.
While we still have some MerMay left, introducing Cadenza, my vampiric mermaid bard.
She's a renowned actress who was turned by an obsessive fan and is dipping her toes into adventuring out of a sense of wanderlust.
She also has probably my favorite design of all my characters.
