Here are Tropical Cyclone Helene's...Potential Rainfall Amounts thru 5 days...AND...Potential Flash Flooding Risk thru 5 days. The upstream water runoff will eventually work their way downstream, so expect eventual rises to the local rivers across Southeast NC and Northeast SC.
What does this mean for our region? Potential impacts for us include 2-4 inches of rain (locally higher amounts are possible) late Thursday into Friday, wind gusts of +25mph, a chance of isolated tornadoes, minor coastal flooding, and hazardous marine conditions.
🌀 Good morning, Wilmington. Let's talk

Officers from the WPD have been busy lately practicing jiu-jitsu skills they can apply in the field when handling potential dangerous suspects. Last Friday, some Wilmington Fire Department recruits stopped by to learn a few things as well.

Civilian Crash Investigators will soon be out on our streets responding to calls in Charlotte.
CMPD is hiring them now and they hope to have them working by the end of the year.
So we went to Wilmington to see how they do the job there.
Our report tonight at 5 on Channel 9
