I appreciate this may not be a question of national significance but this is the public toilet in my local park and I'm wondering how on earth it costs £285k to refurbish it - when from the photos nothing structural has been done?!

I’m confused. Apparently it would be a good thing for the UK to boost productivity as it would make us all better off. But whenever any government does something that might encourage an increase in productivity it is a bad thing.

@Barney_H_Y Hi Barney, what pension scheme is your mum in? Teachers’ pensions in the U.K. are unfunded - there is no fund that is invested so no investment return - so the 3% may be the inflation adjusted expected future pension rather than the return?
