@capnsammy He's close with Soto and presumably has other friends on this team. Doubtful he's eager to leave for a similar role on a likely worse team and all that comes with being traded.

@hwmorajr I flat out said *if* he's in a Cease deal aka taking on salary sure. But he allowed a .760 OPS vs. lefties, has pitched 2 innings 1 time in 2 years. More than 1 inning 9 times in 2 years. They already have Canning, Butto and Megill anyway. Peralta multiple innings isn't a need.

@capnsammy Marte would have a similar role in SD. They just signed Connor Joe to be a RH part of a platoon in LF. He wouldn't be an everyday player there either.

@capnsammy He's probably going to see time in the OF more than we expect/think with Nimmo's foot?. He's been nothing but a class teammate so I'm not sure it's fair to really guess how he'd "feel". Phillies 2 LHSP, Nats have 3, he'll play "enough".
