The WPD and additional law enforcement are currently working an active investigation in the Village of Webster. The incident is contained. Traffic is shut down on East Main Street from Phillips Road to North/South Avenue. Please stay clear of the area.

The Webster Police Department will now provide "Wheel Locks" to all Kia and Hyundai owners regardless of residency. Come to 1000 Ridge Road ANYTIME. Call 911 and ask to speak with an officer regarding a wheel lock. License and registration required. It's that easy.

WPD responded along with West Webster F.D. for a person on a lawnmower that went over a cliff on Inspiration Point. The male was successfully rescued with the assistance of the Monroe County Special Operations Rope Team, NEQ, Monroe County Fire, EMS and Public Safety Bureaus.

Giovanna Bommelje, age 13, missing/runaway. Last seen on foot in Adams Road/ Backus Road area, at 6:45 PM. She is 5'5", 140 lbs, brown hair in ponytail. She was wearing a salmon colored Aero hoodie, gray sweatpants and black boots. Call 911 if seen ASAP!

The Webster Police Department is saddened to learn of the death of Officer Jamieson Ritter #1176 of the Cleveland Division of Police (Ohio). Officer Ritter was shot and killed this morning, July 4, 2024, while on duty. Officer Ritter was from Webster, New York.
