New DL Coach Brian Baker has a wealth of experience. Coach Baker has coached throughout the NFL and NCAA. Within all of his coaching stops, Baker has coached multiple All Pros, All Americans and even Hall of Famers! Recently, Baker has been with Georgia Tech as an analyst.

Boats have a new running backs coach. Luke Ferdinand comes from Black Hills State as a RB and TE coach. Black Hills averaged 118.5 yards per game on the ground last year. A young star coach in the making? Look forward to seeing the new running back room with this new coach!

Most underrated coaching announcement is Steve Meyer. Meyer joins the Boats as a DQC. Meyer had this role with the Maulers in '22 before turning into the DB coach. Coached w/ Birmingham Iron and Steelers. Meyer was the position coach for Gilbert and Tarpley both All USFL in '23.

Per the wire, Cam Dantzler has agreed to terms with the Boats. Former 3rd pick by Minnesota, Dantzler had 26 NFL starts with 3 career ints, 108 tackles, & 1.5 sacks. Dantzler paired up with Gilbert may be the best corner pair in the UFL.

Per the wire, Kai Locksley has signed with the Memphis Showboats. Is this the 3rd QB or just another weapon for the Boats? Locksley ended his college career at UTEP and has played a few seasons in the CFL with Hamilton and Edmonton.
