On 4th June 1996, 25 years ago today, Alhaja Kudirat Abiola was gunned down on a Lagos road. She had been a vocal campaigner for the release of her jailed husband, MKO Abiola, and for the restoration of his June 12, 1993 mandate. A real heroine. May God grant her eternity. Amen.
