The weather was smiling on our Sport's Day making for a great spectacle. 🌞Thank you to everyone who was able to come along and support us - we hope you are now enjoying a cool refreshing drink.🥤Well done to all the children and congratulations to the Swans on their victory 👏
So good to see all the children back with us today. Lots of shrieks of laughter and excited chatter, outdoor play, games of football, hoola hooping, skipping, hide and seek and "catching up" with classmates...☺️
The ESFA Chester and District U11 tournament was held this afternoon at Christleton High School. 21 teams took part. Waverton were runners up - Played 7 won 5 lost 1.......fantastic effort 👏. Now will go forward to the All Cheshire Finals.
We came in a fantastic 2nd place overall from 31 schools at last night's Chester and District Athletics, with our largest number of finalists ever - 10 children made a final. We had victories in Y3,4,6 boy's sprints and relay, 2nd in girl's 200m and 3rd in Y5 girl's 75m. 👏🙂
A little lamb sits all alone upon the stage.....final recording of the KS1 Christmas Play has concluded and all the actors and performers have gone home for a rest - well done everyone - you were amazing!🙂.
Well done to all of the Reception children. You have all worked hard this year and we are very proud of you! Have a great summer and we will see you back at school in September ready for Year 1.
The sun was shining on the Tour of Britain as it came through Waverton at lunchtime today🌞The children enthusiastically cheered everyone, whether they were in the race or not!😃
The Year 6 pupil's departed for the Conway Centre on Angelsey this morning. They have arrived safely and the sun is shining☀️..it promises to be an exciting week. More updates to follow🙂

Waverton Good Read for Children winning author and writer of the Rory Branagan Detective series of books, visited us yesterday and came back to sign books ✍️ for the children this morning. His presentation to the children was inspirational!

In assembly this morning the children were very excited to learn that the Tour of Britain Cycle Race is passing through Waverton. We will all be out there supporting the riders as they sprint along Eggbridge Lane.👏 🚵♀️🚵♂️🇬🇧
Tom from Cheshire Autism Practical Support (CHAPS) visited school today to talk to the children about Autism. Thanks Tom...you were great 🙂 We look forward to having you back to do some workshops with our older children.

Year 5 enjoyed an amazing day experiencing what life would have been like in the Stone Age. The workshop ,organised by the fantastic Ed Abrams ,even involved a real life Stone Aged caravan! I
We took just under £1500 at the Quiz night last Friday. Thanks to everyone who was able to attend and especially to Sue and Jamie Hosker for arranging the quiz, The Chester Fields and Spitting Feathers for their sponsorship and the PTA for the brilliant organisation👏
