Exciting news! Our food department is in the running to receive funding from Tesco’s “Stronger Starts” initiative, to run free community cooking sessions at our school. Simply drop a blue token into our voting booth in Tesco at Wath. Every little helps!

Over the last three nights, we have had a full house for this year's Movement Evening. Each night, 35 acts performed from Y7 through to Y13! The variety in the show was amazing and most importantly the students loved it. A huge thank you to all staff who supported.

In Mandarin enrichment this week, students created lanterns to celebrate Chinese New Year. Thanks to our colleagues at Sheffield University's Confucius Institute for their support. Happy New Year of the snake!

Congratulations to Maisie in Y9 who has been selected to be a national Anne Frank Ambassador. Maisie was an ambassador in school in September, delivering sessions to our students as well as the general public. She then applied to be a national ambassador and was successful.

Due to heavy snowfall and its impact on travel, Wath Academy will be closed today. We are planning to be open as normal tomorrow.

The academy will be open as normal tomorrow morning. Students should arrive at the academy before 08:20 using their normal entrances. Currently the buses are due to run as normal. We will communicate using ClassCharts if this changes.

CHRISTMAS DAY 2024 Y11 and Sixth Form students have enjoyed their Christmas lunch. Staff and students pulled crackers, played table games and shared jokes to create positive memes with their peers.
