California state sales tax is 7.25% Something that’s $0.99 would be $1.06 without cash rounding, but $1.05 with. They’d have to raise the price of something to be $1.01 to get it to $1.10 So you could in theory do that, but your store would be full of weird prices that are different than other stores. The $9.99 lunch combo would sell better than the $10.01 lunch combo. Better to just raise the price by much larger increments if they wanted to rip you off
