I received a text today from my Middle schoolers gym teacher. Apparently he was banging on a trash can to alert his teammate of the pitch coming during the wiffle ball game. Pretty sure no one knew what he was doing besides the teacher. I cracked up instantly.

Here is the final version of our turf field. We were able to make some changes and I think it looks great. If you would still like to donate please contact me and I will send you a form. Every little bit helps. They are scheduled to begin late August early September. Can’t wait!

While I love baseball, it is absolutely insane to play our opener in 34 degree weather with 15-20 mph wind. Need to take care of players first. This has nothing to do with being tough. It’s about being smart. Haha.

Today is a prime example of why the HS baseball season added a week. When you start a game with a wind chill in the low 30s you must be insane (us included). I don’t care how much you love the game, it is flat out brutal for everyone involved.

Since Ethan’s diagnosis of Crohn’s Disease over a year ago he has been a trooper. Just asking for prayers as he had bowel resection surgery yesterday and hopefully is headed in the right direction.

Words can’t say how proud I am of my team. 1st time in school history with back to back WBL titles. With our 8-2 victory over Celina tonight we clinched at no worse a share of the title. Great week where we picked up 3 league wins. A lot of baseball yet to be played.

What a game tonight. Wapak defeats Bath 3-2. This game featured 5 pitchers all sitting upper 80s with multiple pitches in the 90s. A playoff like atmosphere. The crowd was huge. With the victory Wapak wins the outright WBL title this year. Couldn’t be more proud of these guys.

Would like to take the time to offer my thoughts and prayers to the family of Mike Miller our longtime announcer for Wapak Baseball. Mike passed away yesterday and will surely he missed. He called our tournament game Wednesday and saw a Redskin win. We enjoyed all the time that.
