Man, I wish I was a morning person
Marcus Aurelius on waking up early: "I have to go to work—as a human being. What do I have to complain of, if I'm going to do what I was born for—the things I was brought into the world to do? Or is this what I was created for? To huddle under the blankets and stay warm?"

As a medical professionals this hits home hard. For many of us the “magic years” with kids occur during the throes of training and early career building. This is a huge part of the work-life balance push in medicine.
Deathbed Regret: Not spending enough time with my kids during the “magic years.” There’s a devastatingly short window of time during which you are your child’s entire world. After it, they have friends/partners that fill that role. I refuse to miss those precious years.
