It seems you find it difficult to engage outside of a very narrow liberal worldview. Remember that, in historical terms, liberalism has only been around for five minutes. Its values are the values of a set of places in a certain time, they are not universal and not an end point.

It’s not an extreme position. Trans rights were one of those things about which there was never a public debate, only a quiet change pushed for by a small group. Now we’re actually having the debate (because they’ve gone too far) we can re-evaluate what’s already been done.

This is not abuse. I’m a Tory and disagree with the lefty who tweeted you, but I must say that if you think this sort of comment is a problem you should not be in politics.
After a week or so hiatus, the low-level abuse has restarted.
Worth noting I get far less of this stuff than many MPs, particularly women MPs (of all parties).
