Before the winter of '18-'19, we paused all work parties in Eastern WA mid-Nov thru mid-March 🥶 Then, crew leader Jane Baker offered to lead some snowshoe work parties — & there was plenty of interest! Learn bout our winter trail work in Eastern WA:

@MontiMont The trail is open as of now. Please keep in mind the trail ends at the bottom of an avalanche chute, so take proper precautions. You can read more about the trail here:

In 2022, @WDFW created a 10-year recreation strategy to preserve ecosystems & improve outdoor experiences for the public. Over a year later, WDFW continues to make changes — like temporarily closing parts of the Methow to protect wintering mule deer:
