(1/2) Heads up! This Wednesday, Sept. 25 is the annual pre-winter maintenance day for US 2 through Tumwater Canyon. The road will be closed between Coles Corner and Leavenworth from 8AM-3PM to allow crews to expedite work in multiple locations ahead of winter weather.

A scary situation that has a happy ending. A 15-year-old (with a driver's permit) and her mom got rear-ended by a semi-truck (everyone was ok). One of our Incident Response Team members helped them through it. This blog is about their reunion!

Cleared: The NB and SB I-405 ramps from WB I-90 have reopened after an earlier collision. Looks like crews are still on scene on the shoulder, so continue to slow down when driving by.

We’re celebrating a major milestone in the SR 520 Montlake Project this morning! Take a peek at this thread to get a good sense of the new movements.
A few reminders!
- New four-way stop on Montlake Lid
- New northbound to eastbound SR 520 HOV 3+ access on 24th Ave
- New HOV lanes on NB/SB Montlake Blvd.
- HOV3+ and Transit only on new ramps. (We are working with our partners on enforcement)

UPDATE 2: Both NB and SB I-405 on-ramps from westbound I-90 remain closed in

due to the overnight collision involving a semi.
Tows are on scene and working to remove the vehicle.
There is no ETA to reopen the ramps. Please continue to use alternate routes.
