From the Amnesty website. It's just insulting to the women and girls of Afghanistan - and actually everywhere - to even hint at their oppression under the Taliban being due to 'identifying as a girl' rather than being born female. @amnesty

Don’t forget this. Taliban “culture” isn’t really about a strongly held belief that women shouldn’t be educated. It’s just about making them suffer.

1/3. The Taliban actively search every single home, even searching the phone, laptop and all private things to see and find who is working against them. If yes, then they will arrest, beat or kill them. No one has the right to complain.

This is the Taliban. They claim to be scholars but are garden-variety, aggressive, sex obsessed males who lust after the suffering of women. And they’ve been handed millions of them to torment. The world must stop them. #NoToTaliban .#SpeakUpForAfghanWomen.@WomensRightsNet
