A big thanks to @moonwakebeer that hosted our volunteers for the 4th annual beer tasting evening. After all the hard work looking after the river and walkway. It was great to try some new creations and have time to hang out together without a litter picker in hand.

A productive session in Balerno today with our land-based crew clearing paths and drains, and finding amazing amounts of "heritage rubbish" around what initially looked like quite a clean stretch of walkway, uncovering an old carving of a train, and enjoying tea and biscuits!

A beautiful morning to be in the river & on the banks up at Balerno removing rubbish galore. A huge pile collected leaving the river and local area a healthy place without the pollution. @Edinburgh_CC @KSBScotland

First wade of the year and we'll be dropping in at Balerno to give the river a winter clean. Plenty of rubbish locally around the rugby club and high school that we'll litter pick. Before moving onto some walkway maintenance removing leaves off the walkway @Edinburgh_CC

Thanks to all our intrepid volunteers who braved the sleet and hail this morning to give the walkway at Kinleith Mill a good clean up! Unfortunately the weather didn't allow for painting railings but they are now prepped and ready for next week's session🤞🌞

Lots of volunteers out this morning caring for #Leith. A huge haul of rubbish collected inc 132 cans which were separated and sent to recycling. Stairs painted to Keddie gardens , graffiti removed from the mural and debris removed from the walkway @Edinburgh_CC @KSBScotland

It's the first Wednesday of the month so it's down to Leith for a big clean up We'll also be painting the railings up to Keddie park , removing tagging from the mural and giving the walkway a good sweep off. @Edinburgh_CC

Glorious session at St Marks Park & Redbraes today! Amazing work by all our wonderful volunteers, raking and sweeping paths and the tunnel, weeding the cobbles next to the weir, removing lots of invasive rhododendron and snowberry, and as always sweeping for litter. Thanks folks!
