Last night we had our senior night against Winnebago and Belvidere North. A little bit shorthanded, but we wrestled tough as we wind down the regular season getting ready for Regionals. David Randecker goes 2-0 on the evening. @WNHSathletics

Congrats to David Randecker on placing 1st and Trenton Combs taking 3rd at the Kaneland varsity tournament. At the 16 team Woodstock Fr-So tournament, Alek Myshkowec took 3rd and Brayden Sobczak took 5th. Great job by all our wrestlers that competed today! @WNHSathletics

Wrestled last night in Johnsburg against Lakes (W 36-30) and North Boone (L 24 - 29). Greatful to be back competing on the mats after the long holiday break. David Randecker, Trenton Combs, and Eli Jenkins go 2-0 on the evening! @WNHSathletics

On Saturday, the varsity wrestled at the 16 team Harvard tournament. Taking 4th was A. Motejzik, 5th by D. Randecker, and A. Myshkowec took 6th. At the JV tournament in Antioch, B. Sobczak took 3rd. Great effort and wins by all! @WNHSathletics

A tough last round, but overall a good day of wrestling as significant improvements were made from last week. At the 18-team Richmond Burton varsity tournament David Randecker and Trenton Combs took 4th and Anthony Motejzik took 6th! @WNHSathletics

Wrestled Marengo and Harvard in some KRC duals last night going 1-1. Lost to Marengo 54-30, but bounced back with a comeback 41-36 win over Harvard. David Randecker, Anthony Motejzik, Benson Smith, and Alex Myshkowec go 2-0 on the night! @WNHSathletics

Congratulations to our wrestlers on Saturday for winning some matches and medals! At the 29 team, Rockford East varsity tournament, Randecker took 7th and Motejzik took 8th. At the Geneva Fr-So tournament, Davis took 3rd and Sobczak took 4th. Great job by all! @WNHSathletics

Traveled a little light with numbers due to the holiday weekend. A big congratulations to Anthony Motejzik with taking 2nd in his weight class at the 17-team varsity tournament at Vernon Hills. @WNHSathletics

Off to a good start with the season going 2-1 tonight at Genoa-Kingston. Anthony Motejzik goes 3-0 on the night and many first time varsity wins with our younger crop of wrestlers. @WNHSathletics

Earlier in the week, we celebrated our season and team one last time with our awards night. Earning Most Valuable was Kaden Combs, Most Improved was David Randecker, Character and Values was Aaron Hugger, and the Thunder Award went to Benson Smith. Time to enjoy Spring Break!

David wrestled well today, going 1-1 and ended up losing in the blood round just 1 win short of a medal. Very proud of his wrestling in this tournament and finishing top 12 in the state with all the classes combined is a great accomplishment. @WNHSathletics
