Heard about WFP's innovative #Farm2GO app?.It's a digital marketplace where smallholder farmers interact with aggregators & buyers in real time to get the best price. In Bhutan @WFP organized a workshop in Tsirang to familiarize district officials with the app for implementation.

District officials from four districts of Tsirang, Zhemgang, Trongsa and Sarpang attended the workshop. The #Farm2GO app will be introduced in these four districts where the @GAFSPfund supported Building Resilient Commercial Smallholder Agriculture #BRECSA project is implemented.

To provide a forum for value chain actors & stakeholders in the agriculture and livestock sectors to discuss and exchange ideas, identify challenges & opportunities for successful business, two multi-stakeholder platform workshops were organized in Tsirang and Zhemgang.

Eighty representatives from farmers' groups, aggregators & district officials attended the workshops. The workshop was organized from 17 June by @WFP Bhutan & the Building Resilient Commercial Smallholder Agriculture #BRECSA office from.

To reduce gender disparities and engage young people in farming, a 4-day workshop to develop guidelines for gender & youth inclusive hubs was organized in Tsirang. The hubs will be established in Zhemgang, Tsirang, Trongsa & Sarpang under the #BRECSA project.

32 participants representing govt. offices, CSOs, cooperatives are attending the workshop organized by the Building Resilient Commercial Smallholder Agriculture project office and @WFP with support from #GAFSP & @IFAD.

This week.WFP & CLEAR specialists are analysing community consultation findings on climate, livelihoods, food security & value chains for Bhutan’s Building Resilient Commercial Smallholder Agriculture #BRECSA project. It will inform agriculture resilience plans for 4 districts.

The Consolidated Livelihood Exercise for Analysing Resilience #CLEAR will provide recommendations for promoting smallholder agriculture. #BRECSA is implemented by the @moafbhutan with support from @WFP, @GAFSPfund and @IFAD in Tsirang, Sarpang, Zhemgang and Trongsa districts.
