⚠️ Horrifying details of the abuse endured by the recently released male hostages. The men were brutally interrogated and physically tortured. This included choking them, tying them up, strangling them, hanging them by their legs, and burning them with hot objects. They were deliberately starved and did not receive any food for days on end. Every few days they would receive a rotten pita, which they had to share with other hostages. One hostage collapsed at one point and the other hostages thought he was dead. That was a particularly traimatic experience for them.

Watching families see their children live on screen—going from pure, overwhelming joy to shock and devastation in seconds—was soul-crushing. Hamas knew exactly what they were doing. Hostage families, who have already endured unimaginable suffering, should not have to go through this final act of cruelty. The first images of the hostages should be in Israel, safe with the IDF.
