alum. Main reason I was hired was because of my FSU degree. Just about every major tv market, including cable, had or still has a 'Nole Met working there.
Twitter has taught us one thing, FSU graduates a lot of meteorologists on TV..it is impressive

Saturday 6/27/20 6:28 pm - Doppler Radar Wind Velocities clearly show the strong downburst winds in the middle (in green), and the nearly perfect circle of outflow boundaries emanating outward. Like dropping a big rock in a pond.

Easily the most recognized FSU meteorologist worldwide, a true giant in the science. If you've ever heard of the "FSU SuperEnsemble" model for tropical systems - that was him. He will be missed.
It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing this morning of Dr. T. N. Krishnamurti , Professor emeritus at the Florida State University Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Science. We extend our deepest condolences to his wife Ruby & family for this loss.
