Steven Ashworth’s postgame interview last night with John Bishop was fantastic (they’re always great, but he was particularly animated last night). These two quotes in particular — chefs kiss 😆 More in WBR’s Morning After recap:

@CollHoopsChat Hi! Thanks for reaching out — Matt DeMarinis (@mjdemarinis) from WBR would be down to chat Creighton on your podcast. (And probably be a lot more entertaining, honestly).

@Jays_Classic But I'd add the 2003 MVC title game, since that was your question. Can you imagine the memes that would have come out of that blowout vs SIU? Bruce Weber's facial expressions alone would have been a goldmine.

@Jays_Classic The Dana/Arkansas saga would have been nuts simply because of how long it took to play out. Was the golden age of message boards in the absence of social media, and that news cycle about broke the old Bluejay Cafe. 😅

Creighton's defense on Saturday gave them a chance to win when their offense struggled. And then Steven Ashworth hit a game-winning three. WBR's Morning After dived deep into how CU hung around long enough to escape Villanova victorious:

Fitting that on the night Kalk passed Rodney on the all-time scoring list, someone threw down a Rodzilla-esque dunk. Wow!

I designed new Primer graphics when Omaha Douglas FCU came on board as a sponsor earlier this month which I think turned out really nice — and made an alt set for the Pink Out that we unveiled today. ANYWAY, here’s my preview of the Pirates!

Before the Jays and Blue Demons tip off tonight, check out the Primer presented by @OmahaDouglasFCU! DePaul has some nice offensive weapons, especially from three-point range. But their record is what it is partially because their defense has been…rough.

I missed this news earlier this week, but this is a great change. "Secret" scrimmages -- and the hunt to learn what you could, then figuring out (as a CBB writer) how to hint at what happened for your readers without actually saying it -- are a thing of the past.

This decision means that schools can decide how to allocate the revenue generated from these exhibition games. Additionally, the new rule eliminates the requirement that preseason practice scrimmages be conducted in private and without official scoring.
