Then there is a rigorous study and interview process before you can get verblyfreg or citizenship. Then you are welcomed into the most crime free community in the world. Fair warning: living here is not easy. It's expensive and salaries are not great.

The Dutch abandoned us to our fate over 200 years ago. Apart from our similar (but different) language, we are nothing like them at all. If anything, the Afrikaner Spirit is more American and German than Dutch. What has the government of the Netherlands ever done for us? Oh wait, yes, I remember. Sanctions and Boycotts. They are allowing their own people to be fed piecemeal to migrants. Why should they help us?

The answer is pure demographics. The Transvaal and Orange Free State (my birthplace) were once Boer Republics but today we are a minority of the population. (No small thanks to the Anglo-Boer War and Apartheid.) The Northern Cape is sparsely populated and in chronic endless poverty. We are already a majority in Greater Orania. It's a small region but it's a starting point. In politics, Demographics is everything.
