While the correlation needs replication, it's not implausible. We're still looking for a cause for Parkinson's and viruses are a suspect. We think that other viruses can cause degenerative disease. For instance, mono may cause multiple sclerosis.

I worked in a nursing home during COVID and can tell you that decline is a sad thing. The senior may isolate and spiral. They may lose control over their mood, thoughts and body. It's a sudden loss for friends + family. If you can forestall this with a 💉, why wouldn't you?

What's the basis for this? Other viruses are known to sometimes cause a syndrome called post-viral fatigue | More data is needed to see if flu is a cause. But if nothing else, being sick for several days can decondition your body.

Because the flu begins to spread one day prior to symptoms, you can easily give it to co-workers | Remember that flu spreads in outbreaks, rather than evenly across the population. Outbreaks can be disruptive to a business or institution for weeks.

Vaccine myocarditis is usually a self-limiting condition that resolves quickly with light/no treatment. Contrast this with MIS-C which affects multiple organs and may have long-term effects. Plus: in kids 5-11, there were only 11 verified cases of myocarditis in 8,000,000 doses.

While the absolute number of children who died to the disease is low, this is true for most risks to kids. We go to great lengths to prevent child mortality from other causes, such as cancer. It is much easier to prevent COVID deaths than cancer.

The results ⬇️ show no correlation with heart attack or arrhythmia (ACS causes heart attack; arrhythmia causes CA). Authors looked for age-specific risks. A similar US study came to the same conclusion for heart attacks, and was age stratified. (13)
