Have a listen to my supervisor’s thoughts on why England mens footy team is not doing so well. Her research explores the impact of coach-athlete relationships. I am adapting this research into music teachers and musicians. Where might this take the conversation in music?
While the reasons for the underperformance of the #EnglandEuro2024 football team have revolved around selections, formations, tactics and the like, my hypothesis focuses more on the interpersonal aspects between coach/es and players & the social environment within they operate ⬇️

@Jamesedpoole Congratulations James. I will read this with interest. I have just started a PhD looking at the quality of music teacher-musician relationship and the impact on performance and wellbeing. I imagine they’re may be some parallels.
