Hosted my good friend of nearly a decade, Philippine Secretary of Foreign Affairs Enrique Manalo for dinner. We discussed strengthening intra-ASEAN cooperation, addressing regional challenges, and exploring new opportunities for collaboration, especially in the green economy.

For the first time in 60 years, Singapore is nominating a candidate for the International Court of Justice: @RenaLeeForICJ, a skilled negotiator and stellar legal expert, has our full support. Her vision and expertise will strengthen the ICJ’s vital work.

Enjoyed a wide-ranging discussion with Chairman Trung of the Communist Party of Vietnam Commission for External Relations who is in Singapore under the S R Nathan Fellowship. Looking forward to upgrading Singapore-Vietnam ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership this year.
