The room had a urinal with a salon door on one side, 3 cubicles on the other, a sink in the middle, and a 2nd broken sink. I waited patiently for him to finish washing his hands, but he felt awkward, as did I. He moved away from the sink out of respect to both himself and me.

And if it were a woman, it would have been different. There is a different set of unspoken social nuances, in that we may have said hello to eachother, I would have waited and that would have been fine. Speaking as a woman, this is my experience, as has happened in the past.

This is so unnecessarily cruel. I saw my daughter, 2y on T, for the first time in over a year, last week. Sheโs c/o multiple joint pains, stiffness, her skin is terrible, she thinks sheโs happy but at 19 but her MH isnโt great. This shouldnโt be happening.

I was at the conference today, and along with several other attendees was prevented from entering by these protesters. It took a while to gain entry. Itโs unbelievable that clinicians were prevented from enhancing their knowledge by a group of people who referred to us as evil.

my ex-husband is using my daughterโs transgender to manipulate me, using power and control - see the post-separation wheel of abusive behaviour, which encapsulates my experience. Yet I have no voice, social services and police do not take me seriously.
This perfectly captures the TRA movement, but reflects my experience of my ex exerting power/control over me through our trans daughter, โprotectingโ her from me by falsely accusing me of abuse/transphobia, and silencing my voice. As in society, so in my personal life.

Iโve spent a lot of time in France, so know what you mean! However this was different as there wasnโt just the usual single toilet, but a room which had the sink in the middle, a urinal with a saloon door on one side & 3 cubicles on the other. There was a 2nd sink but broken.

Itโs not informed consent if the parents are asked to take a "leap of faith". It also sounds like heโs exploiting the tripartite relationship between child, parent and clinician, taking them in as the joint decision-makers, reducing his accountability if it all goes wrong.

Iโm vegetarian and also donโt drink milk. Iโve never had any issues with being treated disdainfully. I converse in French and apologetically explain my food preferences. I make it a joke, we all laugh, no dramas, and I then eat a delicious meal. It doesnโt take much to try.

The nurse who carried out the procedure was in breach of her NMC code of conduct, as she did not uphold the patientโs right to dignity and compassion. A good clinician would not have carried out the procedure in that way.

Iโm glad you have your peace & space. Using the c-word in that context is not someone to be with. My ex husband used to deliberately avoid washing after exercising, went days without a shower or changing clothes, just to wind me up. His side of the bed was greasy. Hence the "exโ.

Iโm sure the majority of schools have a social media policy in place, which covers the use of photographs featuring their pupils, which parents either do or donโt consent to. If theyโve done their due diligence, the photo is not a safeguarding issue, as some are saying.
