Support services are available in Northern Ireland for victims of sexual abuse or violence. If you are able to report your crime to police, please do so on 101, or 999 if you are in immediate danger. You will be listened to and treated with care.

If you're worried about attending court as a witness, reach out to our friendly Witness Service staff, who can talk you through what might happen on the day of trial and offer you a safe place to wait. They'll be there to keep you informed and offer assistance throughout.

Thanks @jemma_dolan for raising this issue. Our support is available to anyone who experiences criminal catfishing. Catfishing itself is not illegal, but it can often involve financial crime through romance scams, as well as more serious harassment and sexual offences.

Did you know our Hate Crime Advocates can not only provide advice and support to victims of hate crime, but can act as an advocate for them throughout the justice system? We can even report the crime for you if you don't feel able to do so yourself. Get in touch!

Compensation can be an important step on the recovery journey for some victims who have been injured as a result of crime. Speak to our advice workers to find out if you qualify. You must have proof of your injury and apply within 2 years of the crime taking place.
