No matter how big of a thrill-seeker, do you still get nervous on certain rides and rollercoasters? I would love to know how people feel!
Sometimes the restraints on Vortex (Thorpe Park) make me feel like I can't breathe leading to anxiety and also waiting for Detonator to drop!

Did you know that Vampire (formerly, The Vampire) at Chessington World of Adventures still remains the UK's only Arrow Dynamics Suspended Swinging rollercoaster? With the exception of the 2002 replaced Arrow-Vekoma trains, the structure of this ride is still mostly original.

Samurai at Thorpe Park has been mostly dismantled and is undergoing maintenance. No one knows if this is the end or we will see the ride reconstructed to keep running up until the end of the season. But here's to the best flat ride in existence...

The Curse at Alton Manor (Alton Towers) and World of Jumanji (Chessington World of Adventures) ride resins/models.

I absolutely adore this promotional concept art for the Land of the Dragons. Though I have to say, Dragon's Fury looks rather a lot like Alton Towers' Spinball Whizzer here... ๐

CWoA was once home to my three most favourite dark rides - this being one of them.
Unseen pictures from finishing the incredible Terror Tomb exteriors at

before opening in 1994. This was incredible work by Scenic Construction from design by Farmer Studios to transform previously empty space into Forbidden Kingdom. 30 years ago!

Did you know that the old Thorpe Park Rangers statues which once stood by the park entrance now live at the Wraysbury Dive Centre? Completely submerged underwater! These nostalgic parts of history can now be admired by those who have a thirst for diving adventures!

Can you believe that Flying Fish (originally Space Station Zero) is Merlin Entertainments' oldest operating rollercoaster? Opening in 1984, this Mack Rides powered coaster has seen many Thorpe Park attractions come and go, yet, itself has stood the test of time - what a classic!
