@metcov Madrigal is the standard Sterns signing that we'll all beg for him to be cut, then applaud Sterns when he does cut him, ignoring the fact he was only here because Sterns signed him. So Madrigal will start on the roster, get cut around early May and probably Baty will be up.

@LFG_NYM Vientos. Last year people were out on him, this year they expect him to hit the 40Hr mark. Signing Pete alleviated some of the pressure but still a lot for, essentially, a second year player.

What is the purpose of this new "tradition"? Annoys NYC residents and other cities don't give a crap, except when they use it to dunk on New York.

@MetsRising It would have to be a HUGE spring coupled with McNeil having an awful spring. Even then maybe not

@FinkelsteinRyan I'm a bat Soto 2nd guy. To me the intriguing thing would be can Vientos provide Pete the protection he's never had. I don't think, at least initially, people will pitch around Vientos the way they might against Pete.
