Otw to school today I witnessed a car flip and roll off the highway. I immediately pulled over and sprinted to the car letting whoever was inside know that I was there and getting help. Ran back to my car and reported the accident to 911. A old man started to approach the car, so together we opened and jammed the door open as much as we could so I could crawl inside. As a man, seeing a helpless old lady being hung up side down unconscious in a car slowly being filled with smoke sparked a reaction in me that sent my adrenaline through the roof. The old man unbuckled her as I tried to brace her fall as much as possible, but im 6’3 crouched over in a flipped car so there’s barely any room. I swear to y’all the physical strength I produced in that moment to drag her out was heaven sent. As soon as we got her out, the other people around gathered to take care of her till EMS arrived. I immediately stepped away, grabbed my cross, and started praying for her and thanking God for his strength and guidance in the situation. Obviously I’m shaken up, but I’m just drilling in my head over and over again head “be a man, you did good.” She went away with the EMS with little to no injuries, and the old man and I thanked each other. As soon as I was alone in my car, I felt an insane amount of spiritual conviction hit me and I immediately started breaking down. You never know when God will need you, so stay ready. Matthew 22:39 - “And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself"
Lord turn me into the man I need to become to take care of those you put into my life. I pray that you give me the discernment to see clearly the work you are actively accomplishing in my life. Give me a healthy amount of fear of you so that I may still see the wisdom you have blessed me with. Remove all lust from me so that I may see your beautiful creation and give you praise. May you be the one I love in this world most, so that I may love those who I encounter honorably. Protect my heart in your blood and spirit so that it may never become corrupt and stay pure as you intended. Please allow your voice to echo the loudest in my head so I live in a way that honors you. I give you thanks and praise always for what you have done for me. I pray you allow others to experience you spiritually the way I have, so they know who you are and that they are loved. Thank you for all of the blessings and forgive me for my shortcomings. In Yeshuas holy name, Amen.
