The new map markers perform extremely well in VR, they're comfortable to look at, and thanks to everything being driven by a shader, you can take photos/video of them on the UI layer as well and they will look correct. #VRChat

Yes, I could have just parented the vehicles to the trucks for towing, but I had to make them realistic and rig the physics and the suspensions of the vehicles. The added realism of making the vehicles bounce and the springs compress will go a long way! #VRChat #MadeWithUnity

My current go-to solution for rigged suspension/drivetrain is a skinned mesh renderer which only contains the moving parts of the undercarriage and is only visible at the highest LOD level of the vehicle. It is not perfect, but a very cost effective solution for what you get.

I'm not getting paid to sit and watch redundant loading bars in Unity all day, so I wrote a guide on how to disable redundant scene checks in worlds VRCSDK. This got rid of a ~30s loading bar any time I'd try to open up the control panel, and ~10ms per every GUI repaint.

These cars didn't include textures for masking the paint for recoloring, only alternative albedos, but that was easily fixed! Now I can throw away ~6 GB of textures and still have infinite variations with just one color field, and your VRAM will thank me later.

I've been experimenting with in-game motion recording solutions for my vehicles, the latest one allows immediate playback with Udon for filming. All cars were recorded alone in the same single player instance at 40Hz one by one and filmed right after. #VRChat #MadeWithUdon

I'm also happy with how arriving to a location with a large number of markers feels, thanks to the configurable fade out distance. Important markers are using maximum distance and they will always be visible when relevant.
