@AngelaRayner
I needed to read this today. Be proud, we are proud, and you inspire many with similar backgrounds. Life is not where you start; it's where you finish.
Whilst waiting eagerly for the next
#GeneralElection
, you will find me mainly on a
#labourdoorstep
in Uxbridge and South Ruislip to ensure
@DannyBeales
becomes the next MP for the local area. Uxbridge and South Ruislip deserve an MP like Danny🌹
Guess what arrived!
@DawnButlerBrent
. To everyone, live in your purpose despite the barriers. You can inspire others and be the change you want to see. Thank you, Dawn, for inspiring me 😊
I had one of the best learning experiences with the
#JoCoxLeadership
Scheme. Thank you to all in cohort 5 and all the trainers. To the future cohort 6, dare greatly and maximise every opportunity to develop. Graduates, see you all at
@UKLabour
conference 🌹
I had so many great moments of reflection that I will take away and work on. I enjoyed every second of the
#JoCoxLeadership
session today. Thank you,
@LabourWomensNet
and thank you, sisters. 🌹Also, if you haven't bought an LWN hoodie - I suggest you buy one. It's so comfy 😊
Cohort 5 of the

Thank you
@DavidLammy
, for your speech at the
@EalingLabour
event last night. Any speech that consists of Windrush, CAMHS, young people and the diversity of Ealing Labour's new councillors makes a great speech. Time to knock on doors to move the shadow from David’s role🌹
#GENow
Below is a picture from my beloved missed every day Grandad’s passage papers. My Grandad never returned to Dominica because, to him, England was his home. On some occasions, I witnessed racist remarks whilst out with my Grandad - he would often smile and say thank you.

I was like my Nan’s third leg when she was alive, and then I followed her to become a proud

It's not always been easy for my bestie. My best memory as her kinship carer was our first Christmas. Due to lockdown, it was also her first trip to see Santa

What an honour to be part of Cohort 5

@LabourWomensNet
and
@UKLabour

And we’re off! Brilliant to meet Cohort 5 of
@UKLabour
and LWN’s

Programme virtually this morning. A diverse and talented breadth of future leaders from every corner of the UK of all shades of red. We are excited to follow their development in the months ahead!🌹
Ruislip Manor residents want to see positive change and know only a
@UKLabour
MP like
@DannyBeales
will make the difference and can't wait to vote in the coming weeks to make their wish a reality.
However, what topped a fantastic morning was having a first-time canvasser on the
Cllr Alexander 😊. To anyone that is having difficulties, never let anyone define your set of circumstances. I wish my Dad were with me today, and I know if he were here today, he would be very proud of me and expect me to serve my community with passion.

was amazing this morning; some food for thought. Thank you.
My parents were supposed to attend the infamous New Cross party, which ended with the fire. Tragically, they lost friends. Survivors guilt is real; however my Mum’s act of service/ therapy is to volunteer as a fire brigade cadet trainer
Thank you to the

I managed to close the Ealing celebrations. I hope I made everyone proud.
Heartwarming to hear an elder say they never thought Ealing would
I'm delighted to be a new councillor in a ward that has been my home for most of my life. Thank you to all my friends and family, who are always my strength. Thank you to
@EalingLabour
for all the support over the last few months.
My best friend/ sister/ my favourite nurse/ serial lurker on Twitter has turned 40. Thank you for being my best friend since reception. Here's to the next 37 years 🙂
I enjoyed the extended

Anniversary reception. It was fitting I met an Aussie visiting for the Ashes, the West Indies national sport. I took great pleasure in talking about England's fight back today. Back on a

My favourite place is officially the
@youngvictheatre
The thought-provoking masterpiece Beneatha’s Place is beautifully performed, written and directed. Everyone should go and see this play; you will not be disappointed. A play of understanding and inspiration in equal measure.
My Mum’s strength, kindness and humility are inspirational. My Mum taught me from an early age that I do not need anyone’s validation
#HappyMothersDay
. To anyone that finds today difficult, you are not alone, reach out and take care of yourself.
Thank you, Sunjam, Passion Jerk Centre & Cheveux. All local Caribbean shops on Greenford Broadway and excited about the prospect of having a local Caribbean girl representing the ward. They can't wait to vote for all three candidates on Thursday!
It was a pleasure to shadow
@AngelaRayner
today
#JoCoxLeadership
programme. I had the privilege of observing strong leadership and compassion, which are void in the current government. The UK deserves a
@UKLabour
government & a deputy prime minister like Angela 🌹
I had a fantastic time at the Black History Month Descendants Fundraiser. Descendants are an integral part of Ealing's history. As always, thank you, Descendants. I can't wait for the 30th-year celebrations next year.
I want to thank my Johnny Castle, whoever you may be, that ensured I was not left in the corner during
#Windrush75
. I danced tonight, and I wasn't alone.
I will, as always, continue to pave the way for the next generation, like my grandparents and parents would have expected.
I had so much fun at our first Greenford Broadway youth surgery. The young people in Greenford Broadway know
@EalingLabour
are on their side. See you all in March! We desperately need a
@UKLabour
government.
#GeneralElectionNow
Not only have I voted for my chosen candidates. I posted my ballot paper immediately. I suggest everyone does the same when they receive their ballot paper.

Congratulations to Lee John-Charles, Head of Home Office and Immigration Division, who has been appointed a Commander of the British Empire (C.B.E) in the Queen's Birthday Honours. Lee has been recognised for his services to the law.
Thank you
@LondonLabour
; I enjoyed my first time at

. The ‘Policing and Crime Challenges- A London Labour Response’ fringe was brilliant with
@LabourSJ

@UKLabour
can fix it.
Myself and my fabulous
@LabourWomensNet

To every person who joined me over the past 6 weeks -thank you.
Every single door knocked, leaflet delivered and phone call made has taken us one step closer to painting Uxbridge and South Ruislip red.
I’ll see you out on the doors tomorrow for one last push.
For
@EalingLabour
members that look and sound like me, now more than ever, we need to be involved in campaigning to spread the message. We have seen the differences in Ealing with a fantastic Labour administration. Imagine a

I attended the brilliant working class fringe event regarding increasing representation in the party. I raised the important question regarding intersectionality.

@LouHaigh
Thank you
@descendants93
, for inviting me to the annual achievement . It was honour to witness all the young people collecting awards. The young people have fantastic support from their family and the local community. Very proud of my cousin collecting the Kwame Kwei-Armah Award

I have learnt painfully that life is too short. As such, I always try to demonstrate to myself, my family and friends, and my community that despite difficult times the act of kindness is free, & it is the most valuable asset we have as a society. Be kind

this is a big virtual hug from me until I can give you a real one. Evelyn, not only have you inspired your community, particularly women, but you have also inspired many more beyond your local community. Thank you, it was a privilege to support you.
I just want to again thank everyone who supported & encouraged me. I’m proud that I’ve inspired so many people in the community to stand up and be counted.
Congratulations to
@Miatsf
for being selected today as the candidate for Camberwell&Peckham.
Earlier today, I was out on a
@labourdoorstep_
canvassing for
@DannyBeales
the response was brilliant, and so many keen postal voters had already posted and can't wait for Danny to be their next Labour MP. I'm very proud of everyone in my Labour family and excited for the future
Last year, my cousin was nominated by her school and won an award. A picture can tell a thousand words. Look at how much it meant to her; the second picture is a look for me to stop cheering, and the last pic is celebration. Ealing schools continue to nominate your young people👇🏾
Are you a Primary, secondary and Special education

. Nominations have been slow coming in! We realise that it is exams period but hope your school will nominate. Please get in touch if you have never nominated and would like to know more. get in touch.
When I grow up, I want to be
@AngelaRayner
. To a fellow teen mother and now grandmother/bestie, the interview was brilliant! Thank you for inspiring people that sound and look like me, that our lives matter and that we have a place in politics.
The inequalities faced by some young people can cause significant trauma, leading to difficulties at school. I’m so proud that
@EalingLabour
prioritises tackling inequality and are willing to invest £0.6m to tackle this vital issue with educators, young people and families
When a young person experiences trauma, their emotional age might be halted that can cause emotional arrested development . Higher parts of the brain are underdeveloped, lower overdeveloped/over sensitive.🧠🌱
Representation matters at all levels. I will always advocate for equality and representation for everyone. I love Ealing, and I am so excited and looking forward to the new municipal year ahead.
This morning, it was an honour to attend
#HolocaustMemorialDay
at Ealing Town Hall, which I found to be powerful and thought-provoking.
The past should never be distant from our minds, and we must never forget our individual and collective responsibilities to each other.
KEIGHLEY: 3rd name on Labour short-list is Margaret Pinder - amazing CV, inc stuff other candidates might hide. "Yorkshire born and bred"; local comprehensive, Cambridge Univ; City solicitor; Freshfields law firm, New York; taught Greek tragedy, Harvard; CBI leadership programme
The awe-inspiring Jacinda Adern has resigned with the same grace and humility evident in her premiership. It has been less than a week since the start of
#JoCoxLeadership
programme, and I'm still thinking about session one
@LabourWomensNet
I can't wait for our next session 😊
Tomorrow Greenford Broadway cllrs will be undertaking our first youth surgery for people aged 12-25 about suggestions for the area and to know more about what we do as councillors. I hope to see our amazing young people in Greenford Broadway ward @ Greenford Library 5-6 pm 😊
Theatre is always food to my soul. However, The Collaboration

Everyone should go and see this amazing cast and play! We loved it!

I'm grateful for all the LWN sisters. I have made friends for life.
A big shout out to
@HarrietDigby
. Our Whatsapp group is lit; we are always there for one another with encouragement.
All the women in the Ealing Labour group too. We might not always agree, but we are family.
Never forget the power of sisterhood! Why not take a minute today to amplify another women’s voice with a retweet, a word of encouragement, or a little credit where it is due. Give back to other women in your community, workplace or local Labour Party and lift each other 🆙

Swindon South deserves an MP like
