I GIVE UP MAKING VIDEOS.
I've been burned out for a long time already. I have a hard time finding motivation and joy in music like before. Need some time to take care of my mental health and figure things out.
In this video I talk more about it.

OK, I've figured it out.
@VTheGuitarNerd
doesn't show his face because he's actually super tall and can't fit on camera. I'd guess around...9ft? Keep rocking, dude. 😅🤘🎸
Dan for size comparison.
Despite work and preparing to go to Oslo for a gig with Eleine while also taking care of a cat who is doing poorly at the moment I did manage to find some time to work on my own little project.
It seems that my old N64 has after almost 25 years of duty finally given up... RIP old pal
Now the hunt for a new one begins!
Btw, if anyone knows how to fix it let me know.

Listening to a couple of demos for a thing I started writing a little of a year ago. I think these tunes really have potential. The goal is to make an EP of this project and maybe even a music video for one of the tunes. Please remind me that I actually need to finish this.
I've been thinking all day about the passing of Meat Loaf. It feels weird that someone whose voice and music has been such a big part of my life is gone. I've probably been listening to the first Bat Out of Hell album since before I was born...
Ok, so just a random curious thought... Do any of you have a tendency to listen to a single piece of music (especially when having just discoverd it) several times (more like 10 than 2) a day for several days straight?

I think I might have just had the most fun I've ever had while recording a bass part just now. I doubt this silly thing will actually turn into something but I hope it does 'cause it could possibly end up being a really fun track, if I can actually make it work, that is...
Hey,
@instagram
! What makes you think I'm not old enough to use instagram? I've been playing guitar longer than some of your users have been alive lol
I'm pretty sure Johann Sebastian Bach must be the best composer of all time. So freakin' amazing. Who could ever come even close to that level of beauty?
Can't sleep. Brain obsessing over jazzy stuff. And now I just found this and can't stop smiling. The joy, the playfullness and the extreme virtuosity is out of this world.
Movie recommendation: This is an awesome film! The team behind
@goldeneyemovie
did such a good job! It's full of fun references to gaming culture and Rare and Nintendo. Plus it has an amazing soundtrack (with badass guitar riffs!) by

!
Thanks so much for the games,
@voltyria
! Much appreciated! I'm gonna have many hours of fun with these (I may or may not have had a few very fun hours with 'em already).
Though, that said, I really should stop working on new stuff until I've finished the mountain of projects I'm working on already... Oh, well. At least I'm having fun!
@Dan_Vasc
That's like doing a remake of Fawlty Towers without Basil Fawlty! Wait... They already tried that, didn't they... Hmm... It's like Mr. Bean without Rowan Atkinson, it's just plain wrong! Some people are just plain crazy!
If I could add 10 more:
Helloween
Dokken
Yngwie Malmsteen
Kate Bush
Pink Floyd
Vivaldi
Alban Berg
Dream Theater
BB King
Enya
Still misses certain important aspects of my musical tastes...
I've been asked a couple of times lately for a downloadable version of Good Morning, the short metal instrumental I put up on youtube sometime during the first half of last year. Well, here it is:
I think that should work, right?

The GameCube controller is obviously the best. But the N64 controller will always have a special place in my heart and therefore always be my favourite
There's actually 2 different synth bass sounds. One for long notes and one for the short notes. A Korg M1 can get pretty close to the sound of the long notes fairly easily and the chorus in that sounds about right for those sounds so that what I suspect it might be at the moment.
@Dan_Vasc
I don't think Hollywood has made anything I've been the slightest bit interested in in about 15 years. They almost always make the same boring shit using whatever name that people have some connection to to sell it. One of the reasons I'm not really into movies.
It's

In case anyone's interested in that short instrumental metal tune I made...
How did I just find out about this song?! An 80s sounding
@ninjasexparty
ballad filled with math jokes is right up my alley. That said, they missed a couple of 8s at the end and I think a few digits are out of order as it fades
#Nitpicking
#Pi
Needless to say that without his music I wouldn't be the musician I am today... Rest in peace, Meat, and thank you for sharing your talent with the world and giving it your all in a way that probably no one else is capable of.
Would anyone happen to know what synth was used for the bass on Painkiller (the song, not the album)? And don't say Minimoog because at this point I'm certain that it isn't. It's almost definitely something digital that was modern at the time.
This is some seriously nerdy stuff but it's the kind of nerdy stuff I really love. I've been spending the last hour or two looking through it, finding out that synths I have have sounds that were used in games I love and smiling with excitement like a kid at christmas.

, we have now confirmed where every instrument in Banjo-Kazooie is from! You can view what is found at this link.
I tried opening a project on my laptop that I haven't worked on in about a month. EzDrummer and Triton crashed immediately while loading and a few seconds later the screen went black and now it's dead. Should I take this to mean that it's a project that's too epic for my laptop?
