@VPDCadets had an amazing time tubing at @Cypressmtn! For some, it was their first time seeing snow, making it even more special. The day wrapped up with a lesson on how crime stats help prevent victimization and enhance public safety. @VancouverPD @VanPoliceFnd #VPD

Week 15: Started with drill & judo, building self-confidence, discipline, teamwork & more. After lunch, Cst. Zhalovaga gave a insightful presentation on the Sex Industry & Elder Abuse. The day ended with instructors sharing speeches on what it means to be a VPD Cadet Instructor.

Week 14-Cadets learned about polygraph and the importance of living an honest life. Cadets were then held to group accountability for school lates and unexcused absences from term one. The day ended with a team challenge and drill practice. Great week! @VancouverPD @VanPoliceFnd

Week 12 - Cadets had a great time assisting Kops for Kids with gift wrapping for 200 kids in need. Afterward, a team competition to see who can stay taped to the wall the longest. Cadets finished the day preparing for their upcoming Promotion Ceremony @VancouverPD @VanPoliceFnd

Week 11 - #VPDCadets shared holiday wishes with 120 of those less fortunate in the Vancouver community. They also ran the beep test to qualify for the Fitness Award and finished the day with a laser tag fieldtrip. @VancouverPD @VanPoliceFnd @VPDYouth

Week 10 - VPD Cadets did community clean up at Joyce Collingwood neighbourhood. We then learned about taking care of your mental health. Cst. WONG was away this week so we brought her ICARE poster everywhere we went. Great week! @VancouverPD @VanPoliceFnd @VPDYouth

Week 9 - Promoting teamwork, confidence, fitness & healthy mind, VPD Cadets worked together as a group to achieve goals while incorporating PT. Cadets also learned about community policing. Another incredible week! @VancouverPD @VanPoliceFnd @VPDYouth

Week 8 - VPD Cadets started the day with an exam for those seeking to fill the ranks of our leadership group. Day continued with team exercises, a lesson in time management, a burpee challenge, and of course, public speaking. @VancouverPD @VanPoliceFnd @VPDYouth

Week 7 - On #RemembranceDay @vpdcadets paid respect to those who served so we can enjoy the life we have today. We remember. @VancouverPD @VanPoliceFnd @VPDYouth

Week 6 - VPD Cadets got an intro to the POPAT, which is the physical test that needs to be completed under 4 min 15 sec in order to become a Police Officer in BC. Cadets got to push themselves like never before as a team and have fun at the same time! @VancouverPD @VanPoliceFnd

Fall Camp at Keats Island is in the books. The weather was good to us and we had a great time! Class 11 bonding like we have never seen before. Being part of the cadet family is a life changing experience. @vancouverpd @vanpolicefnd

Week 4! We started the morning with a fitness assessment which included maximum push-ups, sit-ups, air-squats and everyone's favourite, burpees. Cadets also learned to polish boots and practiced marching/drill in preparation of Remembrance Day. @VancouverPD @VanPoliceFnd

Week 3 was a blast! We kicked things off with an intro to judo, learned the essentials of a healthy mindset, and of course had a great time with some fun PT activities! #VPD #PoliceJudo #VPDCadets @VancouverPD @VanPoliceFnd

Week 2 took us on an 14km hike through #Lindeman and #Greendrop Lake. Great weather, great vibes and great company. A true a bonding experience for the Cadets and a great test to their abilities. @VancouverPD @VanPoliceFnd

@VancouverPD Cadets Class #11 has begun. For next 26 weeks, Cadets will be learning life skills with focus on physical, mental and emotional health. They come from all walks of life and are dedicated to the program with the core values of VPD in mind. #ICARE

Another successful #PullingTogetherCanoeJourney. What an amazing journey it was. The #Indigenous Communities shared stories, cultures, and values. Cadets learned values such as determination, teamwork, and self-control. @VPDDiversity @VancouverPD
