Which is why we always used to say the league was harder in the 00’s in comparison to the Pep/Klopp era. Promoted teams tried to out-pep Pep with 1% of his budget which led to 100pts & 6-0 drubbings every week. Good to see teams reverting back to PNP & being difficult to beat👌🏾
Pretty confident in saying, the Premier League is on the verge of another style switch or if it’s not changing, it’s definitely more emphasised. Teams with lesser quality individuals recruit physical, set the standard and play fast/direct with improvisation and ‘freedom’. That’s why the gap between the TOP and the rest is so close now, teams are punching above their weight—not through tactics but through recruitment.
