Today, I was privileged to share my lived experience of #AMR at the #WHA77 & talk about the work we have already achieved with the @WHO Task Force of AMR Survivors since its inaugural meeting in October 2023 Patients, carers & survivors help to demonstrate the real-world impact of one of the greatest challenges of our time. Let's do everything in our power to listen & create meaningful, people-centered solutions Thank you @DrTedros for including me to this important round table Watch the recording here: #AMRsurvivors

@ON_LIGHT_fr Absolutely! I survived a long-term MRSA hospital-associated infection, so IPC is very high on the agenda for me. I don't see many of them including patients. Any you know of would be great to know about.

"Participatory Approaches," as now recognised in the recent 2024 UN Political Declaration, must not become merely another buzz term in the fight against Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR). Instead, it underscores the necessity of involving and engaging everyoneβpatients, carers, and the public alike. This is particularly crucial given the multifaceted nature of this global health threat. While raising awareness is important, it often remains one-sided. To design truly meaningful interventions, we must prioritise listening to those most impacted. I am delighted to have contributed as a patient co-author to this paper. Read the article here: #AMR
