So proud of our young Black men. Brandon has been a volunteer with our organization since elementary school and tonight he received an honourable medal from @Sflecce. Congratulations Brandon, can’t wait to see you when you graduate law school. 🏫

@CitImmCanada We’re receiving complaints about the hotel in Peel. Why are there no Black-led agencies supporting the African asylum seekers at all the hotels? Has @HumaKare had sensitivity training? Where is the cultural competency? Why are you not covering items below?

Thank you to everyone who attended our 3rd annual Emancipation Day Flag Raising Ceremony held at #Vaughan City Hall. Everyday is another opportunity to move closer towards actualizing what the #Africandiaspora is fighting so long and hard for; Equity and Human Rights Now!

When this crisis came to #Vaughan and #YorkRegion we lobbied for cultural supports & wraparound services. It’s essential that newcomers are serviced with a level of cultural competency at hotels. Over 600 families currently are not. Black-led organizations stand ready to lead.
