The major change in the new A-Level curriculum was the teaching approach and not so much with the content. Parents shouldn't be worried about what their children are going to study in their next level of education (S.5 and S.6).

Among the causes for school dropout are the other costs involved in education. Much as we do have U.P.E and U.S.E, there are other associated costs such as feeding, scholastic materials. Children from disadvantaged families who can’t meet these costs end up dropping out

The Education Policy Review Commission has made some BOLD recommendations that, if implemented could impact the most critical stage our children's Learning Cycle. As we deliberate on how to implement these proposals, we ought to rememember the children most left behind that shouldn't just just attend school but LEARN! Sector leaders have noted that we can direct the limited resources to the most critical areas such as Teacher capacity, learning materials, ECD among others.

We are delighted to have met and discussed with a team from Power Teachers Africa on a collaboration towards incentivising teachers for improved learning outcomes. @PowerTeachersAf will use a model that focuses on measuring learning outcomes using Uwezo assessment tools and incentivise teachers when they fully complete courses that enhance their capacity, are present in school and teaching and when they realise improvements in pupils learning outcomes.
