We had such a fun lunar new year. It started with a delicious Chinese inspired meal for the whole school; followed by a fascinating assembly from our Head of Mandarin. Then some of our Sixth Form Students preformed an exciting Dragon Dance. Happy Year Of The Snake!

The Urswick Youth Theatre Group are feeling super excited for their upcoming production of 'Fresh Air' by @VickieDonoghue. They will be performing at the @KilnTheatre on Friday 21st March. This will be a show to remember! @NTConnections @NationalTheatre

Last year two of our sixth form students were invited to visited Auschwitz with the support of the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust. Today they shared their experience in what was a very thoughtful and enlightening talk.

Marking Holocaust Memorial Day 2025, 20 Y10 Urswick students attended the UK Jewish Film event at Hackney Picture House to learn more about how the Holocaust is remembered through film. It was a fascinating and emotional experience and our students made impressive contributions.

Urswick Sixth Form Students put their thinking caps on to crack the case! On Tuesday 14th January every student in The Urswick Sixth Form took part in a fiendish ‘escape room’ activity courtesy of Dr Paul Elliot, Director for Admissions at Homerton College Cambridge.

Urswick ended the term with a Carol Service at St John at Hackney Church. In words and music we told the Christmas story and prayed for peace and love at this special time. We also reflected on what it is like to be homeless in the Winter Season.

The Urswick community has so far raised over £1300 for Shelter and will continue to support the homeless during 2025 in honour of our founder Christopher Urswick who also supported the homeless.

Tuesday was our annual Alumni evening! We welcomed back alumni from our first ever Sixth Form Cohort in 2014 right up to those who left last year! Thank you to all those who attended!

Our year 7s celebrated their first term at Urswick with special awards assemblies attended by their parents. Everyone received certificates, there were subject prizes and an attendance prize draw. You had to be in it to win it!

TUS Sixth Form Students joined Mr Brown, Mr Khoo and Ms Rodrigues on a Walk for Home in aid of @Shelter They certainly enjoyed the bright lights of London and a Hot Chocolate whilst raising money to support homeless people. You can read more here!
