We open private centres for joint replacement but 30-40% people having surgery havent had appropriate trial of non-sx rx & we provide no coverage for effective therapies like Physio and Topical NSAIDs (cover oral NSAIDs, which have higher adverse effects) @UofT_DoM
Most hospital operating rooms sit empty after 3:30 No need for costly construction, just staffing with nursing & teams Staff all OR’s to 7:30 pm, & we could complete 50% more cases Add staffing for some weekend time, and do even more …all within the current infrastructure….

Happy Birthday's are in order for our colleagues Maame and Dr. Katz🎂! We had a great time ringing in the early days of spring with a variety of baked goods and fruit. After much debate in the office of macaroons vs. macarons, we had a good time eating both and celebrating!
