One of Sonic's most underappreciated traits is his bashfulness
Sonic is very cocky and confident, almost bordering on arrogant, yet he also gets flustered/embarrassed from being complimented
which paradoxically adds complexity to his simple character

Our cast for Flip-Heads! It took some time, but with everyone set, we’re off to the races! We’ll be releasing our first dub at around the end of the month, so look forward to it!

While I understand why people get this conclusion (I’m lying, I don’t), I think people often forget that these moments dipper “sacrifices” for, are things that HE’S being selfish for—
Nah dipper sacrifices his happiness for her over and over all summer. And the moment he's finally going to get to live his own dream of exploring the world. She wishes for a replacement of him without a 2nd thought and destroys the town. That's cruel shit at any age.
