Not sure if we’re gonna see a better opportunity for an American to win a major than at this US Open. Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe and Tommy Paul have to be licking their chops right now. The draw is wide open now with just 2 GS winners left (Medvedev, Sinner)

Brandon Nakashima reaches the quarterfinals in Delray Beach! BNAK overcomes Opelka 3-6 7-5 6-2 and looked fantastic over the last 2 sets. Nakashima lost just 5 points on serve in the last two sets and hit a combined 17 aces. What a recovery. Arnaldi/Tien next in QF!

Tien-Arnaldi and Opelka-Nakashima are going to be phenomenal matches tomorrow man! Can’t wait to see how young Learner fares against the talented Italian. Opelka-Nakashima headed for their 2nd career meeting (Sydney QF ‘22 Opelka in 2) with both players big contenders

Really hope this hip injury isn’t long term for Michael Mmoh. He’s been playing such good tennis the last 3 weeks especially considering how long he was gone for. Would be a bummer to see another injury for the American

Michelsen finally finds a break and consolidates to take a 2-0* lead early in the second set. Deserved break for Michelsen after 6 opportunities in the first set. Mmoh with a few uncharacteristic unforced errors

Michael Mmoh takes the first set 7-6(8) over Alex Michelsen on his 4th set point! 1:22 on the clock after one set… Michelsen with 31 unforced errors and -8 compared to Mmoh at just 18 ue’s and -2. Much cleaner set for Mmoh. Fully expect Michelsen to send this to a decider

Fitting end to the first as Mmoh-Michelsen head to a tiebreak. These Delray conditions are so slow man

Crazy first set here as we’re already over an hour played and not even at a potential tiebreak. Michelsen leads 6-5* as Mmoh has saved 6 break points and Michelsen has saved 2. Lot of long rallies and long service games

Mmoh will really try to target the Michelsen forehand and make that beat him while Alex would love to keep it on the backhand all day. Whoever gets to net most likely wins this match. Michelsen should win comfortably but as we saw last week vs Ruud, Mmoh does not quit

I know Ethan Quinn lost in straights to Giron today, but I’ve been extremely impressed with his form this year. Already 2 MD ATP wins and a challenger final this season and February isn’t even over yet! Looks so improved all-around. Really think he could make the T100 this year.

Marcos Giron reaches the quarterfinals in Delray Beach! The American defeats compatriot Ethan Quinn 6-3 6-4 in just a brilliant performance. Quinn couldn’t find his first serve while serving to stay in it and it cost him. 96% won behind Giron’s 1st🔥 Kecmanovic next in QF’s!
